This policy explains how we approach research, writing, corrections and updates.
How We Choose Topics
We normally cover watches or developments that we believe are relevant to our readers. A subject may be selected because a new model has been announced, an existing watch has changed, a particular reference is attracting renewed attention or a design is becoming important within the replica watch market.
We do not believe every new watch requires an article. Where possible, we choose subjects that give us something useful to explain or examine.
Research and Sources
Depending on the subject, our research may draw on manufacturer specifications, official announcements, established watch publications, historical references and other publicly available material.
When discussing replica watches, some information can vary between manufacturers, sellers and production batches. For that reason, we avoid presenting variable specifications as universal facts unless there is sufficient evidence to support them.
Where an article contains commentary or interpretation, we aim to make the distinction between factual information and editorial opinion clear from the surrounding context.
Original Writing
Our goal is not to reproduce manufacturer announcements or rewrite another publication line by line. Articles should add useful context, whether that means explaining a design change, comparing it with an earlier reference or considering why a particular detail matters in the replica market.
Specifications and commonly reported historical facts may naturally appear across many watch publications, but the commentary and structure of our articles are prepared for ZZZX readers.
Replica Watch Coverage
Replica watches form part of our editorial subject matter, but readers should understand that replicas are not produced, authorised or warranted by the original watch brands whose designs they imitate.
Descriptions such as “replica”, “clone” or similar terms are used to identify the type of watch being discussed. They should not be interpreted as a claim that a particular product is identical to an authentic watch.
Quality, components and movements can vary considerably, even between watches that appear similar in photographs. We therefore try to avoid absolute statements that cannot reasonably be verified.
Corrections
If we discover that an article contains a meaningful factual error, we may correct the relevant section. Minor spelling, grammar or formatting changes may be made without a separate correction notice.
Where a correction materially changes the meaning of an article, we may add additional context or revise the affected passage so that readers are not left with outdated information.
